Matrubhasha Abhiyan started a novel project/campaign called 'Abridgment of Prasishtha Sahitya' on May 18, 2018, under the guidance of the renowned literary figure Mr. Ratilal Borisagar. In this project, the books of Prasishtha Sahitya are rewritten in a concise way to attract the new generation of readers, but without losing the original essence. This way, the readers can enjoy the works in fifty pages instead of the original lengthy books. The project invited the authors who were interested in the abridgment of Prasishtha Sahitya, and they participated in the event on May 18, 2018, when the project was launched. Mr. Ratilal Borisagar gave useful guidance to the participants on how to shorten the books, how many pages to keep, what to include and what to omit from the original work. He also discussed the list of the works that have been abridged and the ones that are still to be abridged.
