Learn Gujarati Yourself

The Gujarat government is working to promote tourism in the state, and it is important to provide adequate facilities for teaching Gujarati language to the tourists who visit Gujarat, as well as to the foreign researchers who come to Gujarat and study its culture and history. It is also important to help the Gujaratis who live in other states and countries and whose second or third generation may not know their mother tongue. If they want to preserve their traditions and culture, they need a system to learn Gujarati, and also a system that is accessible to them through the technical medium of their choice. They need a system that can teach them Gujarati in a short time and in English, which is an accepted international language.

The Matrubhasha Abhiyan, with the inspiration of the Director of Language(ભાષા નિયામકશ્રી), Gujarat Government, has developed a scientific Gujarati syllabus for learning Gujarati and uploaded it on the 'Gujarati Online' portal. This course, which lasts for 60 hours, has 32 different lessons (chapters) that help the learners to speak and read Gujarati easily for conversation and daily life.
